Cuerden Charity Challenge

We are delighted to bring you a new event for 2025.

Starting and finishing at the visitor centre in Cuerdon Valley park, the 5k route takes you on an undulating journey around the park.

Complete as many 5k laps within the 6hr limit as you like. 
For those who want to complete a marathon distance, then you will have to complete 8 laps plus a short loop. For the 1/2 marathon you will complete 4 full laps and a short loop.                                               

As long as you complete one lap then you will be a finisher and receive an official time and a medal.

                                       
Complete as many or as few laps as you wish within the 6 hour time .

Amazing views from every turn, this off-road trail run is suitable for runners of all abilities.

What better way to spend a Friday morning than running amongst the trees and wildlife.

The visitor centre will be open for refreshments on the day.

​

£3 from every entry will be donated to Cuerden valley park to help with the upkeep of the park.

This event Is being held to raise money for Breakthrough T1D, a type 1 diabetes charity. Therefore to keep costs down we will be handing out a mixture of medals from our previous PFW events. This means medals will be given on a lucky dip basis.

All profits from this event will be donated to Breakthrough T1D.

​

- We will have an aid station at 3 miles with refreshments 

- All finishers will receive one of our bespoke medals from a previous event.

- Fully signed course with friendly marshals 

- On site parking

Trail running association permit: applied for.

The event will be held under UKA rules.

Age Limits: All participants to be over 18

Age restrictions:

18-19 max distance marathon 

over 20 no max distance
